Yesterday I bought 2 calamagrostis x acutiflora Overdam and a carex elata Bowles Golden. The carex I shouldn't have bought because I only have dry conditions in the garden. I wonder how to place it so that it survives? I read it will "grow in normal border soil instead of needing wet bog garden conditions" and "tolerate light shade", which gives me some hope. What is your experience - how much sun? will it live with only weekly waterings?

Should I worry about those grasses reverting to green? What conditions can cause that?
