Anyone grow Phragmites australis (common reed)

Does anyone grow phragmites australis in a somewhat controlled situation. I have seen it in a non-wet situation at a nursery, and it seems controllable.

Otherwise it grows in swamps and marshes like crazy and gets classified as an invasive plant and weed.

I am sure that almost everyone has seen it. Here is a link that has good pictures and an explanation.

Or you can google: phragmites australis + invasive plants of wisconsin

Appreciate your thoughts. I grow lots of different miscanthus, but I have a back area of my yard that this would cover nicely.
