Last year's seeds, kept inside, viable?

My daughter collected a lot of seeds from various grasses growing in the neighborhood last year. We dried them and put them in jars and kept them inside all winter. Is there any chance they are viable?

Some will be, and some won't be. You can test them by sowing a few of each in wet paper towels, in a baggie.

Thanks, I thought maybe they needed to get cold for a time to be viable. I know there are some zebra grass seeds, but I am not even sure what the other kinds are, just big and beautiful. I'll try some out.
