I'm looking for ideas on hiding a large transformer box

I have a large transformer box in my front yard & would like to put in a kidney shaped bed to hide it. I would like some pretty perennial grasses & also to plant some flowers, perennials and/or annuals. I don't think I want anything over 4 or 5 feet tall. It would be nice to have more than one variety of grass. What are good companion flowers?

Ornamental grasses suitable for your zone will only hide the transformer box for half the year, or less. They have to be cut to the ground in early spring, and then take a few months to get to 4-5' tall.

You'd get better cover by planting a few evergreen shrubs at the transformer box side of your bed, and then use smaller grasses and flowering perennials/annuals in front of them.
