pink muhly grass

I found some Muhlenbergia capillaris bargain-priced at Lowes last fall and planted it in a temporary bed of fairly sandy soil, cutting it down to about 6 inches. Just moved it all (except one bunch that was obviously dead) to where I really want it ... full sun, slight slope, some clay in the soil but the drainage is good. There hadn't been any root growth over our fairly mild winter, which surprised me.

Does anyone know when this stuff starts putting up new blades? Does it have any special needs?

Tia,

Carol
