| Hello,
I planted Rubrum last fall and it took beautifully. Spring arrived and it is just a bunch of dried out bamboo shoots. Should I cut back the dried stalks? Will it come back? Thanks so much..just found this site and I am sure it will help me out with my not-so-green thumb! |

| Chances are it's dead. Purple Fountain Grass is not reliably hardy below zone 9. |

| Sorry but most likely it is dead. It is a summer annual in all but the warmest zones. |
