how can i tell if it is dead? i live in zone 6. i planted last year and they were beautiful. they were cut in half at the nursey so i had 4 plants from 2.

i let them stay up all winter went out in early april and cut down to about 6".

it is now almost end of may and i see nothing not even 1 green shoot. all my other grasses (different types) have grown to about 2' tall.

how can i tell if this is dead? thank you
