I just found info on Cortaderia selloana 'Evita', never heard of it, not much on the Web about it. www.darwinplants.com has the info, from their main page, under "Products" click on Cortaderia and there it is. Is it too good to be true, they claim it's hardy to zone 5, much smaller, with showy plumes, all the good stuff in Pampass Grass.
I've tried growing Pumila but with mixed luck (I'm zone 5) and it survived, but not entirely and in the fall I had only a few plumes, nothing what I've seen in warmer climates.
If you have any information, experience, perhaps you grow it, give us some feedback. And... where could I possibly get one if it's all what they say it is.
Thanks!
