In search of an ornamental grass...

I'm a newbie to the world of ornamental grasses, so please excuse my ignorance!

I am looking for a grass that is ok with a little bit of shade/indirect sunlight. I would like something that is at least three feet tall. I prefer something that won't get too bushy (or large in circumference, for lack of a better term...)

Any ideas? I am in Atlanta. Thanks!

If you mean part day full sun and part day some shade, there are quite a few to look at.

I'd suggest a Calamagrostis acutiflora cultivar like 'Karl Foerster' for a green grass, or 'Overdam' if you want variegation.

Check out the grass comparison chart at Bluestem, linked below.
