5 yrs. ago I had a grass that my brother referred to as "Corn Grass". It was as tall+ as my house which was a 2 story. Divorced and now only remember it as "corn grass". It looks similar to Arundo Donax but I couldnt tell by photos if the base of a mature plant had thick stalks. The base of my "corn grass" was about the size of a silver dollar. ALso, I need a distributor as I cannot find it! Thanks for any and all help!

It was probably Arundo, which can easily have stems the diameter of a silver dollar, and reach quite a height.

"Corn Grass" is Rottboellia cochinchinensis, AKA Itch Grass, or Buffalo Bean Grass. It's an annual grass which only reaches 6-8' and used as a dried grass.
