Help! Backhoe damage!

I had a backhoe in digging a trench for a hedge. The backhoe knocked off the early growth of my miscanthus floridulus. The shoots were about 2 to 3 inches high. They have been knocked back to ground level now, but the root ball remains intact.

Will I see growth this season?

Yep, you will see growth. A few stems of mine were broken down to the ground and they're recovering. Almost can't even tell they were ever broken.
