Nj, Sand dune grasses?

Hi
Everyone,
I was just wondering if anybody knew what exactly the grasses you see on the beach down the jersey shore are? If your a beach nut like me, you know what I'm talking about. Last year I actually took a small clump home with me in southeastern, Pa and it did perfectly fine next to my pond in soil with no sand. I want to able to tell people it's proper name as opposed to the plant from
Wildwood, haha
Thanks
Mike

Possibly Ammophila breviligulata (Cape American Beach Grass).

Ammophila breviligulata - Essential to the character of eastern sandy beaches and dunes. The ultimate erosion control for sandy soil and exposed locations. A wide bladed grass with rhizomatous habit. Grows 18-24". Hardy zone 5.
