| Hi
I recently saw a fescue grass in a garden center. It was like "angel hair "....very thin and dancing gently...
What kind is it?
Can I put it in a pot in my deck? Will it reseed? How can I "keep" that perenial?
The nicest , thinest grass- are they all Fescu? |

| Sorry; responded to wrong thread. As for the grass you're asking about, perhaps Nasella tenuissima, formerly Stipa. Various common names, among them hair grass. |

| Hi Saw this in waterloo gardens in sePA. Called Festuca Tenuifolia Angel hair. Is it good? Will it survive a big pot in z6a? Will it reseed? Overwinter etc? Will it spread? Is this better than Nasella? I also saw a nice angel hair like 8 " high grass with white small flower/seed heads like lil' earbuds---How do I id that? Tks.... |

| Update: I just need a compare between 'Festuca Tenuifolia Angel hair' and 'Nasella tenuissima, formerly Stipa'. Which is best with looks , I am putting in a big pot ,full sun wanna reseed /overwinter etc... Pls give a compare... And I found the other "earbud" like grass its 'fiber optic ' grass :) |
