Calamagrostis 'Stricta' vs. 'Karl Forester'

So, is there any real difference between these 2 grasses? I'm getting some conflicting info from different sources. Some say 'Stricta' is a foot or so taller with the flower stalks, other sources say they're the same. Some say 'Karl Forester' is more droughty, others mention no difference.

Anyone have experience with both??

I've grown KF, and I'd say its very droughty once established, and that the stalks normally cap out around 5-6' max. I'd like something taller, say 7', to mask a wall, but I need the base clump to be as tight as a KF, that normal 2' diameter. I'm not looking for a larger grasses per se-- just a taller grass, if you get my meaning. I'm also not interested in a water hungry grass either. KF isn't, but I have no sense of Stricta.

Any help you guys can give is appreciated. Thanks.
