Ornamental Grass

white muhly grass vs pink muhly grass

Hey all. Today I purchased some white cloud muhly grass (muhlenbergia capillaris "white cloud"). The height reaches 5 feet (I am assuming in bloom) and the pink only reaches 3 1/2 ft. The tag says hardy to zone 6. Has anyone had any luck with the white version, and if so, it is a show-stopper? I love the pink version but this type gets a little bigger so I found the peeerfect spot for it.

I really like Muhlenbergia c. 'White Cloud' and have grown it over the last year. I don't find it to be that much taller than the species (5 ft seems a stretch), but the seed heads may remain a bit more upright over time.

Certainly worth growing! A beautiful grass!
