Pennisetum in containers

I would love to grow a couple pennisetum alopecuroides "Hameln" in containers for my deck. If I bring them in to my garage in the winter, do you think they would not only survive, but thrive?? How big a container do you think I would need???

Thanks to all who answer questions here. I wouldn't know where else to go.....

I would guess 'Hameln' would do fine in containers. It's hardy to zone 4, so even if you don't garage them in the winter, they should survive.

Even though it's classified as a dwarf grass, don't skimp on container size. I'd use at least 10 gallons, and maybe even 15. Use a very good fast-draining medium and don't give them too much fertilizer
