I purchased this ornamental grass at a nursery last spring. I planted the grass in an area that receives full sun. I continued to water the plant throughout last summer and into the fall. It looked very healthy going into the winter months. However, there is no sign of life. According to the tag, it was rated for my zone (4). Just curious if anyone in zone 4 has grown this grass? Should this plant have survived? Or, could this really be "borderline" (zonewise) for this plant? I believe I am correct in stating that most miscanthus are not very hardy anything north of zone 5, but, from my research, I thought this one would work.
Thanks for any comments---just being curious. Kinda bummed out, too.
