I am a new member to the forum and a new fan of ornamental grasses.I planted three silver feather grasses last weekend. They are 3ft. tall and overall in pretty good shape. My question is the ends of the shoots are dried. Also some yellowing on new shoots. I have been watering daily. The soil is a mix of scotts topsoil organic soil sand and peat. Am I doing something wrong. Thanks in advance for any tips on getting these things starting

RE: newly planted miscanthus silver feather

Soil may be too rich and moisture retentive and daily watering may be excessive. With only a few exceptions, most OG's prefer lean but very well-draining soil and only enough water to get them established.
