Another fescue question.

Just harvested a lot of seed from my unlabeled/unknown fescue plants bought on clearance from Lowes. I assume it would be best to wait until fall to sow. What is the earliest date I should sow cool season grasses to avoid seed rot. I do not have experience sowing in the fall and want to give it a shot.

I've never sowed them in the fall, nor have I seen volunteers in the fall. The plants sow them in early summer, and the volunteers pop up in the spring. I've potted up several nice blue specimens this year, from volunteers. I also left a few in spots where I liked them.
