Ornamental Grass

Karl Foerster or Karly Rose?

I'm planning a new garden where it gets about 6 - 8 hours of sun. I want a grass to use as the major anchor in the garden. The garden isn't that big, and I don't want a grass that will overtake the other perennials. So, I've narrowed it down to Karl Foerster or Karly Rose. Any suggestions? The soil is clay, but we've amended it with peat moss and manure. And, would you plant now or wait til fall? Thanks.

My vote would be for Karl Foerster. It's got a very tidy upright look to it. Plant now only if you can give it plenty of attention the next 2 to 3 weeks. Wouldn't hurt to wait until late August. Karl's a cool season grower.
