| Ophiopogon planiscapus 'Nigrescens', that is. I never got around to it. Now there's new growth coming up - has been for a while.
My question: how much danger did I put this plant into by not cutting it back? Is it likely that all 9 of my plants will live until next spring, when I WILL cut it back in time, I swear!? |

| Ophiopogon is not a grass but an evergreen member of the lily family. It doesn't require cutting back but may need a bit of grooming in spring. FWIW, I've never cut back my 6 year old patch.......I think the chances of yours living without this treatment are pretty good :-) |

| Thank you gardengal! I didn't know it was a member of the lily family........and thanks for the reassurance that I didn't kill something that I enjoy so much! |
