Is there a nice bronze colored ornamental grass out there?

There are a few. You don't say what hardiness zone you're in, but look at these:

Carex buchananii, Leatherleaf Sedge, zone 7

Carex comans, New Zealand Hair Sedge, zone 7

Carex flagellifera, Mop-Head Sedge,

Carex testacea, Orange New Zealand Sedge, zone 6

Each of these has numerous bronze colored cultivars.

Carex flagellifera is hardy to zone 7.

Thanks, I am zone 7

This is unnecessary to the original poster, since she's in zone 7, but I wanted to note that carex buchanii might be hardier than zone 7. All three clumps of mine overwintered for me without any problem--during a rather harsh winter although one with mostly good snow cover. It gave me enough hope that I may try to overwinter carex flagillifera this year.
