| Found a couple of pots of Hakonechloa macra 'Beni-Kaze'. All I can find about it is that it is hard to find. Was actually $2 cheaper than the yellow forms at the store.
Is 'Beni-Kaze' suppossed to be just like the species except much more red fall color? I am hoping for it to be more vigorous than the Yellow forms, and can take some sun. The red fall color is a major bonus. Anybody with experience? Is the red color dependable? |

| I've seen it, but am not currently growing it. I assume it's going to dislike my local heat and humidity as the species does. I think it's a beautiful looking grass. The red fall coloring could be a replacement for Imperata Red Baron. I can't vouch for the red dependability as I haven't seen it growing through the seasons. |
