grass in the pavement

dutch_rondo

I want to create a few empty spaces in my pavement and fill them with small grasses, sedges or other grasslike plants. It's a very shady spot. From the books on ornamental grasses I've learned that Catlin sedge (Carex texensis) would be perfect, and it's definitely the kind of thing I'm looking for, but I I've never seen it in a nursery in this part of the world. Any suggestions for alternative solutions?
