| Never really thought much of ornamental grass until I started wintersowing. Two years ago, I sowed blue fescue and tufted hair grass... and then found some other grasses on sale for $.97 each last summer (Karl Foerster, variegated miscanthus, heavy metal, bronze carex, etc).
I have to say, I think I get more excited now about the grasses than my perennials. Being able to sit out on my front porch, with my screen of grasses blowing gently is just. so. darn. relaxing. And today we're getting a gentle (much-needed!) rain, which has parted the taller grasses...
I am loving the added dimension grasses bring to my gardens. |
