Non-seeding (spreading) Ornamental Grass

I'm just south of Denver, CO, and am looking for an ornamental grass that will NOT spread (seed) but will grow tall and maybe have some color or texture (like the purple fountain grass) or not.
Suggestions? I'm looking to plant maybe three in the background.

There aren't many tall ornamental grasses which will self-sow in your zone, and I can't think of a single tall purple grass for your zone.

That said, there are several tall OG's which will do well for you. Check out the OG comparison chart at Bluestem.ca:
