A couple of thoughts... 1st - Miscanthus xgiganteus makes a solid, quick to grow, privacy shield. Mine, with flower, reach 12-14 feet. In the winter they add interest to the landscape. 2nd - Erianthus ravennae is NOT pampas grass. I’ve heard it called "hardy" pampas grass by some sellers but it is NOT Cortaderia selloana. Mine reaches four to five feet by the end of the summer. With flowers, it can reach eleven to twelve feet. I’ve attached my website. The picture of me on the ladder is with Erianthus ravennae. During the same time period the Miscanthus xgiganteus would be at least twice as tall, perhaps three times taller without flowers. Both are beautiful ornamental grasses and can be used in most gardens or landscapes. Happy planting! Gej |
