Can you please help me out with some basic info on this grass?
I cant seem to find details on my initial google.....

Which zone does it grow in, how tall does it get etc.?

Thank you for your time. :-)

You'll have better luck if you Google Melinis nerviglumis 'Savannah' AKA Ruby Grass or Pink Paint Brush Grass.

It's hardy in zones 8-10. Very flashy. I've grown it as an annual, but it doesn't survive my warm zone 7 winters.

Appreciate the info.....did you grow yours from seed or was it found at a garden center?

RE: Savannah - Paintbrush grass ??

I grow Ruby Grass and it is a perennial here in south Texas. The blooms are beautiful and the plant is a nice green.

They are available at garden centers here so that's where I purchased mine. I've been unsuccessful at starting them from collected seed the last two years while friend who gardens in a different part of town finds new plants have freely seeded all over the place every spring.
