Purple Fountain Grass Drooping

Hello, I planted two purple fountain grasses in my front beds about a month ago. They both seem to be growing and producing flowers. However one of them seems to droop completely to the ground whenever it gets watered or rained on. The second one has a little droop after watering, but nothing like the first one. The first one eventually started standing back up, but it takes a day for it to be completely upright. Any ideas on the cause and how to prevent this?

Fountain Grass (Pennisetum) will frequently droop from rain, particularly heavy rain or overhead watering. It is especially noticed when the plants are in bloom. The impact and weight of the water pushes them down, and is exacerbated when the flower heads are soaked.

It's hard to control the rain, but try bottom watering them (as in drip irrigation) and see if it makes a difference.
