Nut Sedge in my Beni Kazi

As the title says, I've discover that I have a fairly heathy batch of nut sedge that has started up in my Beni Kazi Forest grass. I've got to think that anything that will kill that damn nut sedge will also kill my Beni Kazi. Thiese two clumps of Beni Kazi have been around for several years, and I don't want to lose them. Have any of you run up against this?

Roundup will kill the Nutsedge, and won't hurt the Hakone, as long as you don't get any (at all) on the Hakone foliage. One way to do this is to wait until fall, and cut the Hakone back. Then treat the Nutsedge by wiping the Roundup on its foliage with a sponge.
