Hi,
I'm still enjoying my first summer with my roof garden, but I'm starting to wonder about how I will over-winter my favorite grass so that it sticks around for another year.
My garden is on the roof of an apartment building in Brooklyn, NY.
Should I cut back the Miscanthus Sinensis Cabaret this fall or let it go until the spring and then cut it back before the new growth comes up? It seems to have almost filled the 16 inch pot it is in. Should I divide it, or since I want a nice lush clump, is it better to buy a second plant in the spring to get more?
Thanks for your help.
Here is a link that might be useful: Photo of how my grass looks right now
