Did I buy Ornamental Grass or is this Bamboo?

I finally got around to planting this grass that I purchased a few weeks ago. It had no name, but I thought it was very pretty and delicate. When I planted it, the thought occurred to me that this might be bamboo? If so, I made a grave mistake. Can you please identify if I have an invasive plant?

It looks like Hakonechloa macra, Japanese Forest Grass, but it also looks like Chasmanthium latifolium, Wild Oats (AKA Northern Sea Oats). We'll know which when it blooms.

Thanks for the info. I thought it looked like Hakonechloa macro, but it didn't have a stripe. I should probably move it more in the shade, rather than direct sunlight.

It looks like Hakonechloa to me. Chasmanthium latifolium is more upright. It may either be Hakonechloa macra "All Gold" (which doesn't have the stripes) or a striped variety that has reverted to green. That happens sometimes, especially in too sunny conditions.

Plain old species H. macra is just green, with no variegation or special coloration. It's the least common on the market, but still a lovely grass. It'll grow in full sun as well as part shade, as long as it's kept well watered.
