I'm curious if this one comes true from seed? They said it was discovered by David Salman so I don't think its like the improved switch grasses that can only be reproduced by division. Sounded like he found it growing somewhere?

I'd be real surprised to find anyone carrying it here. Maybe TLC, they were carrying Apache Plume and I was surprised by that. Texas seems to offer a lot more natives at local nurseries.

That's a good idea, I'll plant a few of the seeds this year and see what happens. Growing from seed has always been hit and miss for me, but I'm really going to get serious so I can save the budget for different plants.

We do have several nurseries that promote natives and usually have a good selection of ornamental grasses too. Even the big box national chains carry natives because those are the plants that grow well here.

Can you save me a few of the seeds. It has been on my list of wants. And I will see you at the SA swap. I have some interesting grass seed I collected in New Mexico. I don't have names for all of them . Grass #'s 1 - 18...LOL
