Morning Light - Zebra Grass

We moved into our home 3 years ago, we have 4 Morning Lights among the shrub row in the front of our home. 1 on each end, on 2 on each end of the front porch. They were green and beautiful when we moved in, now 1 is doing ok and is still green, the other 3 are turning brown and look like they are dying. It has been very hot and dry, I have been watering them (very well) every 2-3 days for a couple months now but it hasn't seemed to make much difference. They are on the south side of our home, we have a wrap around porch so I would say they are in partial shade, but I assumed it was okay since they were so healthy when we moved in. I can take pictures but I don't know how to post them here! lol Any help would be appreciated.

Linda

It's very hard to say. Although some resources say Miscanthus can live in part shade, by far the majority say it needs full sun. I have plants in as little as 3-4 hours of direct sun, and they are fine.

Why were they healthy when you moved in, and now struggling. Perhaps they were newly installed.
