I am somewhat surprised that no one has made any statement regarding your post.

So here is my thought - Why would you want to put any plants whether it be ornamental grasses or "flowers" or shrubs or ....? around a B-ball court? Turf grass, sure but ornamental grasses or plants of any sorts - not!!

Even pro b-ball players step off the court and throw the ball errantly on occasion so I see your situation as an even more likely case of off the court tramplingÂs and mishaps.

Bottom line is, I would not recommend any ornamental grasses for your post, if you feel that compelled to plant grasses then plant something big like most any of the Miscanthus grasses.

Once grown these grasses could stop a ball from going beyond the planted area and even entice the ball players from trampling on or running over the grasses.

All of the above should not be taken as actual scinece or tested and proven fact of sports actions but only someone thinking (writing publicly) out loud.
