Does anyone have Carex 'Evergold' seeds? I need these, and would like to save some $ on plants. Willing to pay, of course (I have nothing to trade but blue oak acorns).

Since none of the major seed-sellers lists it, I wonder if it can't be grown (true) from seed. That's frequently the case with highly colored and variegated cultivars. I found one listing on Dave's Garden saying it can be grown from seed, but no one is trading or selling it, that I can find.

Yeah, I got the same data, which is why I asked if anyone has seeds. I've also found lots of confusing opinions and three different scientific names for it (Morrowii, oshimensis and hachijoensis)

See if you can find a friendly plug grower in your area. Green Mountain, in New England, sells plugs for $5, one of their more expensive ones. They'll also let you mix up a flat with different varieties, and still get the 32-flat price.
