Incorporating grasses with other natives

I was just looking at native plants for Maryland that would grow in sunny, dry conditions. I note that the grasses listed for those conditions are broomsedge, canada wild rye, bottlebrush grass, little bluestem and Indian grass.

Do any of these tend to quickly take over an area?

I'm just now considering how to plan out my slope entirely with natives and am wondering how to incorporate grasses when I also want areas of native flowers. WOuld you mix your grass types all together? Would you keep the grasses mostly separate and at the lowest areas of the slope to facilitate what I assume would be occasional mowing down?

Thanks for advice.
