 o
Miscanthus ID?

I'm thinking this is Miscanthus Dixieland. Can anyone confirm for me? Also, if you have experience with it --- can you tell me how tall it gets? Thanks very much.

Could be Dixieland.

Dixieland is a compact form of Variegatus. Grows about 3 feet tall with another 1 to 2 feet of pink tinged plumes.

I like it because it doesn't flop like variegatus often does with maturity.

Another compact variegated miscanthus is Miscanthus Rigoletto. I like Rigoletto as well. Rigoletto is between Dixieland and Variegatus in size (around 4 to 5 feet). Miscanthus Variegatus is a very nice grass, but it does need a bit more maintenance as the clump matures. Depending on where it's placed it can be quite floppy. Staking and trimming keep Variegatus in line, but the more compact varieties tend to remain neater.

Anyone know where Dixieland could be purchased? This is the first time I have heard of it and I want it! :)
