| Anybody growing OG under these or similar conditions found in Taos, NM or Cheyenne, WY who can provide advice as what does and doesn't work?
Cool season Calamagrostis acutiflora Karl Foerster works well here. Other OG that I have seen are often in protected patios. My situation involves exposure to dessicating winds. Plan to use Indian Grass and Little Bluestem seed for large areas and plants for show areas in front of house and studio. Conditions:
12 inches annual rainfall/supplemented by an efficient drip system growing season as short as 90 days (often longer but never guaranteed) -- people put out tomatoes in June and hope they don't see an early September frost surrounded by blue/gray Big Sage thanks

| Sounds like going native is the way to succeed in that area. Little Bluestem is an excellent grass! |
