Blue fescue not blooming

| I planted 'Elijah Blue' in 2 areas of my back yard in the spring of last year. THey still have NEVER bloomed, although the foilage looks great.
Is this normal for them not to bloom for a few years? I'm asking b/c my neighbor planted some about 3-4 years ago and there's always seems to bloom. |

| If you planted them spring last year, then you only missed one year's blooming. I would not expect them to bloom immediately after planting in the first year. Not sure why they didn't bloom for you this year if your neighbor's fescue is blooming. They'll likely bloom next summer for you, but the blooms are not what is attractive about this plant anyway. Many gardeners don't care for the fescue blooms and trim them back. |

| I agree entirely - I'd consider myself quite lucky if my blue fescue never bloomed :-)) Pretty messy as OG flowers go, IMO. |
