hello again.........I posted my disaster in the spring of my 7 pink pampas grasses that didn't all quite make it through our brutal nc winter this year. I broke down and bought replacement plants and was told not to plant them until the spring because july was too late to plant. well they were doing so well in the pots and I could not see myself trying to get them through the next six months alive in my shed, so I planted them. this is how they are looking today in September. if they do not make It through this coming winter I give up....I will not replant them. one of them actually has a plume and it was pink for awhile. however, it is on a plant from last year, one of the two that made it. wish us luck. see you again in the spring...
