I'm in the early stages of planning to host of a series of cooperative ornamental grass purchases for next year.

The general idea is to set up a series of liner/plug purchases. I'll list the varieties offered in each coop, solicit orders and payment in advance, buy and ship in the liners, and break them down and turn them around to the subscribers.

The plan as of now is to begin by shipping the first coop to subscribers in March, 2007. Keeping hardiness zone variations in mind, the first coop will consist of , say, 10 varieties, mixed between cool season grasses for the northern zones, and warm season grasses for the southern zones.

In the true spirit of cooperative purchasing, I'd like to get input from potential subscribers. What varieties would you like to see, and when? Do you think it would be a good thing to recruit western and central state co-hosts to minimize freight impact.
