I think I made a mistake. Lowes was selling Pampas Grass and I bought one without doing my usual research. Yesterday, I put the beautiful plant in the ground, but now I'm worried it won't last the winter. Your thoughts? Suggestions? THANKS! :)

Unless it's one of the hardier cultivars of Cortaderia selloana, it probably won't survive the winter. 'Pumila,' 'Patagonia' and 'Andes Silver' are supposed to be hardy to your zone, but most of the others are zone 8 and warmer.

I like Cortaderia selloana 'Icalma' the best... The hardiest, bluest, smallest, and earliest blooming of them all.
