Low water grass for front yard

I am looking for ideas for low water ornamental grasses to combine with a few shrubs/CA natives in a very large side area along our driveway. The area is not used for any activities--it is sort of an "out of sight, out of mind" place.

Any combinations of grasses, or grasses and bird-friendly shrubs, would be most welcome.

Thanks!

Take a look at the first list, Drought Tolerant Grasses, on the website linked below. From that list, you can drill down to photos and cultivation information on each grass.

Bamboo muhly, Stipa comata, curly mesquite, Mexican feather grass, Blue grama and hairy gramma, Sideoats grama, Gulf coast muhly, Muhlenbergia lindheimeri, seep muhly.

below is a thread that has good suggestions.

The site that don listed is good but the grasses do not get into the grasses that also do well in warmer climes and won't survive up north .
