Anyone familiar with Helictotrichon sempervirens?

I am interested in a bluish-green medium sized (2 - 3') ornamental grass, and I see the schizachryrium scoparium in a lot of online catalogs, but I was wondering if anyone had experience with blue oat grass. How fast a grower is it and does it seed around? Can it be spring planted?

BTW whoever posted that Bluestem link a while back, thanks a bunch. I printed out their comparison chart, that thing is awesome!

This is one of my favourite grasses and I'd highly recommend it. Mine were all spring planted, quickly formed nice sized clumps and does not seed out. It retains its blue colour thru winter so if you haven't got a lot of snow it provides winter interest. I have one big clump about 5 years old that has not yet required dividing (no dead spots in the centre). In my yard they bloom in the third year after planting. They've survived mice chewing them right to the ground over winter and came back even more beautiful than ever. You won't be disappointed with this grass.
