Looking for a low, long-bloomer for sun or shade

| I have several beds, some in full sun and some in full shade. I'm mostly looking for full sun groundcovers that will fill in nicely around things like roses, daylily clumps, rhodies and burning bush.
Want something low, long blooming and not afraid of spreaders.
I've had good luck in shade with sweet woodruff, lamium, archangel, and campanula in sun.
Any suggestions?

| A few spreaders I love are perennial geraniums (some) do your research first for the shorter varieties. I have 'Ballerina' It stays low and blooms all summer, small pink and purple flowers. Nice fall color too. Another one is Ajuga, Chocolate chip is a low growing one. Creeping Jenny can be grown in sun or shade. Creeping thyme is easy to grow, and Oregano if you want some herbs. Good luck! Jen |

| Thanks - I've had success with geraniums and ajuga. The geranium varieties I've found that are low and flowery have a wonderful aroma to them - like incense or apples. I haven't tried creeping thyme, but saw it last summer at a little garden shop down the road and it was beautiful. Thanks for the tip. |
