What's a good, colorful, low-growing (under 6") groundcover that will grow in full-sun in Southern California (Inland Empire)?

The groundcover would not be subject to foot traffic. I want a low-growing ground cover that won't overwhelm the shrubs in my garden and that will prevent the weeds.

Read the info under the topic "Propagating Red Apple" (on this Groundcover Forum). Aptenia cordifolia "Red Apple" is a plant you could consider. - June

Calibrachoa (Million Bells) and Tapien Verbena are 2 very popular groundcovers in San Jose. You might want to post this question at the California Gardening forum.
