| Which ajuga has really blue flowers? I have seen so many pictures, and read so many descriptions that are conflicting. Descriptions for the same variety may range from light violet to blue to bright or dark blue or purple. I am thinking of using the bronze. |

| I see I already asked a variation of this question back in November, so, let me restate that I am looking for one that blooms in blue, and not as low to the ground as the chocolate chip. I don't think I want as much color as the burgandy provides. This will be in the back 20 feet of my yard, behind a couple of ornamental cherry trees, filling in the area once steadfastly and stubbornly occupied by English Ivy. Also planted in this area are some azaleas, hostas, hellebores, hydrangeas, ferns, and a rhodendrum. It is part sun to fully shaded on the left side. There is also a small slow growing sour wood tree. I was settled on the bronze until I saw a picture and text that described the flower as violet. |
