Will they do OK in the holes of cinder blocks? I'm considering of digging a trench and putting cinder blocks to create a plant bed and barrier from zoysia grasses (if i decided to sod front yard with zoysia) and would like to plant mondo grasses in the holes for border.

Should be fine if cinderblocks almost buried in soil so that they stay moist. If cinderblocks above groundlevel it might be hard to keep watered...since mondo grass will pretty much keep rainwater from reaching soil in the small opening. If it will be within sprinkler radius probably okay. josh
