Need Ground Cover

Posted by peterzone10 South Florida (My Page) on

I previously posted a message on the Florida forum. I think this forum is more appropriate for what I am looking for. I am in zone 10a, South Florida. I have a shaded area about 200 sq feet where I have trouble growing grass(north side of house). I would like a short durable ground cover and need any suggestions as to what I can grow and where I can get it. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Peter

Not sure, can you purchase periwinkle (vinca minor) in your part of Florida. I do know a friend planted some in the panhandle and got good results. I think, not sure, he bought it in Alabama.

Yes, I can get it here but I believe I found a solution in Dichrondra seed. I will be ordering that and give that a try. Thanks for your reply.
